The stay at Basilissis offered a perfect blend of comfort and convenience. The location stood out. just a three-minute walk to major sites like the Ayasofya Mosque and Sultanahmet Mosque. The staff truly made a difference. I had the pleasure of interacting with Harun, who provided excellent local tips. The room featured a mini-bar and a spacious sitting area, adding to the comfort. However, I found the covers on the bed not wide enough for two people, which was a bit uncomfortable. Also, the water in the bathroom cabin drained slowly, making it less than ideal. Cleanliness was spot-on, and the availability of complimentary tea and coffee contributed to a welcoming atmosphere.

The crêpes nearby at Le Safran restaurant were the stuff of culinary dreams! Plus, the super tidy rooms made a comfy haven for coming back after a day of exploring. If that’s not worth raving about, I don’t know what is!
However, the quadruple family room was a bit of a letdown with no windows and a steamy atmosphere. Plus, the sneaky airport transfer fee caught me off guard—who doesn’t like a little transparency?

How it stacks up, my honest take
A delightful experience in the heart of the old city! Conveniently located near Topkapi and Aya Sophia, the staff's friendliness made exploration a breeze. Clean rooms adequately equipped for a short stay. Breakfast options were abundant, offering a taste of local cuisine. Looking forward to returning!

A delightful stay near attractions
The hotel's central location made walking to historical landmarks a breeze, and the staff was genuinely warm, providing helpful tips throughout our stay. Breakfast options were varied and delicious.
Although the room needed some maintenance, like more shelving and adequate towels, it didn't overshadow the overall experience. The narrow street made taxi access a bit tricky.

Staying with my family, including five teenagers, was fun. We loved the location, only a short walk to the Grand Bazaar. The room was clean and well-equipped, with a fantastic breakfast spread that pleased everyone.
In my wife's opinion, the bathroom could have been bigger.

Cozy and charming spot near the Blue Mosque—perfect for sightseeing! The cleanliness was top-notch, and the special touches made our stay feel extra delightful.
Maintenance needs a little love, especially when we were shivering at night. And don’t even get me started on the breakfast choices—with variety as rare as a unicorn!

The staff members were extremely welcoming and helpful. especially Omar and Imane. They ensured our stay was comfortable, and the location was close to main historical sites, making it easy to explore. We enjoyed the breakfast, although a bit more variety would be nice.
The room could benefit from a little more maintenance in terms of storage space.
